What are the listing image guidelines?
Our graphic designers are pretty fantastic, but they still need a little help from you. Here are our minimum image requirements:
  • Size: Please send a horizontal, high-resolution image. The image must be at least 1440 pixels wide x 810 pixels high. You don't need to send an image this exact size, but bigger is better. Our system can automatically size down a too-large image, but we can't increase the size of a too-small image.

  • Content: The image should contain no text, if possible. An event title on the image is OK, but that's it. This ensures your image will look great even at a tiny thumbnail size. If your image is of a musician or comedian, please submit a photo of them in action (on stage, with an instrument, etc.). We find these images are more eye-catching than headshots.

  • File Format: Acceptable file formats are JPG and PNG.

  • If you don't have an image that meets these guidelines, we can create one for you. Just let us know in your event submission and send whatever images you do have available. We'll work with what you have or create an original image that meets our guidelines.

  • Example: Here's an example of a "good" image vs. a "less desirable" image:

Good Image

Less Desirable

Obligatory legal stuff: When you provide images and text to Goldstar, you represent and warrant that these images and text have been created by you or your employee or, if you didn't create the images or text, that you have the rights necessary to permit Goldstar to display the images and text on its website. If you asked a member of the Goldstar team to obtain images or text from your website or another website, you represent and warrant that you have the rights necessary to permit Goldstar to display the images and text on its website. If the preceding statements are true, then you hereby permit Goldstar to make modifications to your images and text, including resizing, removing text or logos and similar edits, in order to make the images and text fit within Goldstar's aesthetic or copy guidelines.

If the preceding statements are not true, then please do not provide the images or text to Goldstar and, instead, please contact your Venue Advisor to discuss other options. Please do not under any circumstances provide Goldstar any image or text that you found on the internet or that you don't have legal rights to use.
